U-Factor- The U-factor measures how well a window, or any other surface, transfers heat. Ideally you will

Weather Stripping- Weather stripping can be purchased in a variety of different shapes, materials, sizes and durability. Its purpose is to seal the sash and frame members and reduce the amount of air and water that infiltrate the home.

Of course there are plenty of terms in the world of window replacement. But it’s great to get familiar with the language of the industry as it will make it a lot easier to understand just what your home needs.
